It's Official, January 2026 was Northern Colorado Wildlife Center's Busiest January on Record!

January 2026 was officially our busiest January yet! Since January 1st 2026, our team has admitted 87 wildlife patients, including songbirds, bats, snow geese, crows, rabbits, squirrels, and more. These animals arrived sick, injured, displaced, or orphaned and in urgent need of care. Even in what is typically considered a slower season, we’re admitting multiple animals every single day. Behind the scenes, this level of response comes with significant and ongoing costs. From food, diagnostics, and medical supplies to biohazard handling, disinfectants, recovery space, and skilled and licensed rehabilitator labor, our team is working daily to ensure every patient receives the care they need to recover. We are deeply grateful to our staff, volunteers, referral partners, and supporters who make this lifesaving work possible.
