Still searching for a meaningful Christmas gift for the animal lover in your life? Northern Colorado Wildlife Center has a truly special option.

In November, our team rescued 17 baby snapping turtles after they were found cold, weak, and trapped in hardened mud at a local park. They’re now safe and thriving, but surviving the winter takes time, resources, and round‑the‑clock care.

Each hatchling will remain with us through spring and requires over $1,000 in specialized support, including heated aquatic housing, water filtration systems, proper nutrition, veterinary oversight, daily monitoring, and more.

That’s why we’re offering 17 care sponsorships; one for each turtle.

A sponsorship makes a powerful holiday gift and includes (all optional):
• The chance to choose a name for one of the baby snapping turtle hatchlings
• A personalized symbolic adoption certificate to gift or keep
• Recognition on social media as a hero of native turtle conservation
• Your name or business logo physically displayed on the turtle’s recovery enclosure until release (approximately 5 more months)
