Baby Snapping Turtle Update!

Our baby snapping turtles are growing stronger every day!

They’re practicing their camouflage skills, settling into their habitats, and continuing to eat like crazy as they build the strength they’ll need to thrive in the wild. Along with all that growth, they’re receiving daily hands-on care and ongoing veterinary oversight to ensure they stay healthy and on track for a successful release.

Right now, we’re running a $1,000 baby turtle sponsorship fundraiser, and we’re hoping to find a few more turtle heroes willing to help cover their next meals and several months of care. Each $1,000 donor earns the naming rights to one of these hatchlings, along with a symbolic adoption certificate and an invitation to their spring release.

A huge shoutout to two of our incredible interns, Ben and Percilla, for spending part of their day giving back to nature in another way — cleaning up litter from Prospect Ponds Natural Area in Fort Collins! 💚 They dedicated several hours to removing trash and debris from the area, helping to protect local wildlife and keep our shared outdoor spaces safe and beautiful for everyone.
