From All of Us at NCWC — Thank You for Making Our Work Possible

Image
As we dive deeper into the giving season and many of us gather with the people who matter most, we want to take a moment to express just how grateful we are for you. Every new patient admitted, every delicate feeding, every successful release, and every moment spent educating our community is fueled entirely by the generosity of people, like you, who believe in protecting Colorado’s wildlife. Your kindness keeps our wildlife hospital open, empowers our staff and volunteers, and ensures that every injured, orphaned, or displaced animal who comes through our doors has a fighting chance. We’ve also been receiving several questions as Colorado Gives Day approaches, so here are a few quick answers: What are the ways I can donate? You can give in whatever way is easiest for you. Online through Colorado Gives Day (https://www.coloradogives.org/donate/Nocowildlife), PayPal, Venmo, mailed or dropped-off checks, or by donating items directly from our wishlist are all greatly apprecia...

From Northern Colorado Wildlife Center: Thank you to all the wildlife heroes out there!

Image
At Northern Colorado Wildlife Center, we are grateful every single day for the people who make our mission possible — but today, we want to say it loud and clear. To our incredible volunteers and team members: thank you. You are the hands that bottle-feed orphaned babies, the voices that teach our community about coexistence, and the hearts that show up day after day to protect Colorado’s wild neighbors. You give your time, your compassion, your skill, and your energy to animals who would otherwise have nowhere to turn. Whether you’re cleaning enclosures, admitting patients, educating the public, preparing diets, monitoring wildlife in recovery, or offering kindness to someone walking through our doors — you are the reason lives are saved. We could not do this work without you. Your dedication transforms fear into safety, pain into healing, and crisis into hope. While our Animal Care and Education volunteer teams are currently full, we are actively looking for passionate pe...

Wildlife needs YOU this giving season!

Wildlife needs YOU this giving season! Colorado Gives Day is coming up, and we’re looking for community members who want to make a real difference by hosting a small, online peer-to-peer fundraiser for Northern Colorado Wildlife Center. So far, 14 incredible people have already set up their own fundraisers to support our wildlife hospital and community education programs — but we need more to help save the thousands of wild animals and people who will rely on NCWC in 2026. It’s incredibly easy and it takes less than two minutes to set up, costs nothing, and every dollar you raise directly helps save injured, orphaned, and displaced wild animals. Whether you raise $20 or $200, your effort creates real-world impact for the animals and people who rely on NCWC. If you’re ready to join our fundraising team, visit: www.coloradogives.org/organization/Nocowildlife Then click “FUNDRAISE” and follow the steps! Your voice and time can help save lives! We’re officially on the board for Colorado Gives Day — and thanks to early supporters, we’ve already reached 2% of our goal! Beau Jo's Pizza for Wildlife – Statewide Fundraiser

Image
There’s never been a better reason to grab a slice of Colorado-style pizza. On Monday, December 8th, from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Beau Jo’s Pizza is teaming up with Northern Colorado Wildlife Center (NCWC) for a statewide fundraiser that’s as delicious as it is impactful. When you dine at any of the participating Beau Jo’s locations—Fort Collins, Arvada, Idaho Springs, Evergreen, Denver, or Lone Tree—20% of your bill will go directly toward helping rescue, rehabilitate, and release Colorado’s injured and orphaned wildlife. To participate, simply mention that you’re dining for the “Pizza for Wildlife” fundraiser to your server or show the event flyer when you order. Every bite of Beau Jo’s famous mountain pies helps fuel life-saving care for wildlife patients in need across the state. “Every dollar raised through events like this directly translates into care for Colorado’s wild animals,” said Michela Dunbar, Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator of Northern Colorado Wildlife Center...

White-Throated Sparrow Successfully Saved by NoCo Wildlife Center

This white-throated sparrow was brought to our wildlife hospital after colliding with a window — an unfortunately common occurrence for migratory songbirds. Thanks to the swift action of compassionate community members and the expert care of our rehabilitation team, this bird received the treatment, nutrition, and rest needed for a full recovery. After regaining strength, the sparrow was successfully released back into the wild to continue its migration journey and fill the skies once more with its distinctive “Oh sweet Canada, Canada, Canada” song. Each successful release reflects the collaboration between our community, our team, and supporters like you who make this work possible. You can support more success stories like this by contributing to our Colorado Gives Day campaign: https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/nocowildlife Or mail/drop off your donation to: Northern Colorado Wildlife Center 2637 Midpoint Drive, Suite E Fort Collins, CO 80525 Thank you for empowering our wo...

NoCo Wildlife Center is feeling extra grateful this week

Image
We’re feeling extra grateful this week — because our amazing supporters have gone nuts for wildlife! 🐿️🌰 From Fort Collins to Colorado Springs to Durango, generous donors have been sending and dropping off in-shell nuts to help feed the many squirrels, jays, chipmunks, and other wildlife patients recovering at our center. These nutrient-rich snacks play an important role in helping our patients regain strength and practice their natural foraging behaviors before release. To everyone who has sent a package, shared our wishlist, or dropped off donations in person — thank you. Your kindness keeps our wildlife hospital running strong and helps hundreds of wild patients get the second chance they deserve. 💚 If you’d like to join in and send a gift, you can donate directly from our Amazon Wishlist here: https://a.co/2XODgLa Every bag helps fuel recovery, hope, and healing — one nut at a time. . . #WildlifeRehabilitation #WishlistWednesday #WildlifeRescue #ColoradoWildlife #Wil...
